Interactive Student Rights Directory

Tap any topic to unlock essential PGCPS student policy guides.

Students have protected pathways to make up coursework after verified excused absences. Teachers must offer timely feedback within structured marking-period calendars, and grade disputes can be escalated to school administration.
Dress code rules must be enforced uniformly and equitably across all schools — without disrupting instructional time or singling out specific body types, cultural attire, or hairstyles.
PGCPS secondary students retain constitutionally protected rights to organize student publications, voice advocacy positions, and assemble peacefully through student government channels.
Any student may file a Title IX or civil-rights complaint through their school's equity liaison. Retaliation is prohibited, and complaints are investigated within district-mandated timelines.
